Friday, March 11th - Decision on who the next covergirl of TeenJ'adore will be. Mila Kunis? Anne Hathaway? Only you can cast your vote. Anne Hathaway has won the hearts of some J'adorians already...
"Mila Kunis!" I protested, thrusting a copy of Nylon with her onto the desk in front of my co-workers. "Come on, look at how good she looks. She's got edge."
I was working hard to fight for Mila Kunis being on the cover, rather than Anne Hathaway. Nothing against Anne Hathaway, it's just I prefer Mila Kunis at this moment in time.
This debate took up most of the day, and even at the end, we weren't told of the final result.
As the end of the day arrived I waved goodbye and made my way to Starbucks to meet Alex.
"Hi," I said, greeting him with a kiss on the lips.
"Hello." He smiled that smile that made me melt.
"Good day?" I asked as we sat down with our drinks.
"Better now I've seen you," he replied cheesily.
"Smooth." I said sarcastically.
"You?"
"It was so-so. I spent most of the day fighting for Mila Kunis. Seriously, the argument skills I showed today are making me reconsider my career choice. Do you think I'd make a good lawyer?" I snorted, covering my face with my coffee cup.
"Oh definitely," joked Alex.
My tone turned serious.
"I think we should tell Aimee how serious we're getting. I think she's oblivious at the moment."
"Yeah, I think she is too. It would probably be best to tell her. For all of us." agreed Alex.
"But when?"
"I don't know.." he began. "I don't know about you, but I'd rather put it off for as much as possible. I don't know how she'll react.."
"Yeah, I know.." I contemplated her reaction. "Either she'll be genuinely fine with it-"
Alex retorted. "Because that's likely."
I sighed and continued. "Or she'll /pretend/ to be fine with it, or she'll just completely whack out."
"Knowing Aimee, she'll pretend to be fine."
"Yeah.. And that won't be good will it? It will just make things so awkward, and I'll feel guilty."
"So, are we going to wait a while? Hey, maybe she'll figure it out and see it for herself."
I mimicked Alex. "Because that's likely."
We finished our drinks and headed out for dinner, ending the night with a long kiss outside the door of my apartment.
"Bye." I smiled, biting my lip and turning to go inside, feeling happier than ever.
